Secondly I would like to make continuous efforts of stabilising cross Strait relations eventually reaching peace across the Taiwan strait and stability and security in the Asia Pacific region.

Unfortunately after Sept. 11 there was an outburst in America of intense suffering and patriotism and the Bush administration was very shrewd and effective in painting anyone who disagreed with the policies as unpatriotic or even traitorous.

It seems to be a law of nature that no man unless he has some obvious physical deformity ever is loth to sit for his portrait.

When I look at great works of art or listen to inspired music I sense intimate portraits of the specific times in which they were created.

I like to comprehend more or less everything around me - apart from the creation of my music. It's an obsessive character trait that's getting worse. I don't switch the light on and off 15 times before I leave the room yet but something's going wrong.

There is nothing that special to see when looking at me. I'm a painter who paints day in day out from morning till evening - figure pictures and landscapes more rarely portraits.

People don't have time to wait for somebody to paint their portraits anymore. The money is in photography.

Of the billionaires I have known money just brings out the basic traits in them. If they were jerks before they had money they are simply jerks with a billion dollars.
