I am living proof that the American dream still exists. It is still alive and well. There is only one trick you have to be willing to roll up your sleeves and work very very hard.

I'm the first to admit this whole salary thing is getting out of control. In the final analysis it's still about the work.

I burned out on AIDS and did no AIDS work for a couple of years. I was so angry that people were still getting this disease that nobody can give you - you have to go out and get it!

I don't think balance is something you get from someone else it's something women have to find from within. For me finding balance is still a work in progress.

Despite the encouraging and wonderful gains and the changes for women which have occurred in my lifetime there is still room to advance and to promote correction of the remaining deficiencies and imbalances.

I think older women still have a full life.

Women are still second-class citizens.
