Chastity is the cement of civilization and progress. Without it there is no stability in society and without it one cannot attain the Science of Life.

We sincerely hope that south Asian countries will respect and live in amity with each other and achieve common development and that south Asia will enjoy peace stability and prosperity.

The stability and peace which seemed to be so firmly established by the brilliant monarchy of Francis I vanished with the terrible outbreak of the Wars of Religion.

The positive news is that the British economy is continuing to grow and is creating jobs. And it is positive news too that at a time of real international instability we are a safe haven in the storm.

But since independence Gabon is one of the few countries in Central Africa that enjoys peace and stability.

The United Nations remains our most important global actor. These days we are continuously reminded of the enormous responsibility of the Security Council to uphold international peace and stability.
