I didn't get into skating to be famous.

My life path has been a blessing and a great learning experience. Skateboarding is my passion and I don't see that changing. When I'm not skating I love to surf. I'm open to the new experiences and opportunities.

I think what every skater dreams of is not only skating the best program they can possibly skate but y'know having the crowd roar at the end and it was just so loud I couldn't even hear my music.

All those years of skating and dancing have carried over. I can't design anything without thinking of how a woman's body will look and move when she's wearing it.

My dad worked several jobs to pay for my expense in skating.

I sort of always had an inkling towards some kind of an art form. I grew up in a very small town and I just figure-skated. My dad played hockey and I was surrounded by sports but it wasn't quite doing it for me. I wasn't totally fulfilled and I did a lot of skating.

My dad became a soap opera actor and I was an extra in a skating rink scene on the soap. I didn't audition. It was nepotism all the way.

When I grew up we had gym at school two or three dance classes after school ice skating lessons and all sorts of sports at our finger tips. We weren't glued to computers because they didn't exist so being active was all we knew.

With Stacy it was interesting because you know he was within all this chaos all these different lives that were so broken and so much anger and so much frustration and their skating came out of that their different styles came out of that.

Without strength and courage it's really hard to perform at the highest levels of international figure skating because you're alone on the ice and you only have seven minutes over two nights to prove yourself.
