Organizations endure however in proportion to the breadth of the morality by which they are governed. Thus the endurance of organization depends upon the quality of leadership and that quality derives from the breadth of the morality upon which it rests.

Alliances and international organizations should be understood as opportunities for leadership and a means to expand our influence not as constraints on our power.

One simple way to keep organizations from becoming cancerous might be to rotate all jobs on a regular frequent and mandatory basis including the leadership positions.

I emphasize self-esteem self-confidence and dignity not as an ideal but as a real test of community organization. Without leadership development community organizations do not have staying power.

Leaders must encourage their organizations to dance to forms of music yet to be heard.

I am not suggesting that all those missionary organizations working in Haiti should pack up and go home but I am urging them to understand that Haiti does not need clever Americans with newly contrived schemes for saving their country.

I actually do think you're seeing this trend towards organizations just caring more about their brand and engaging. And so I think Home Depot will want to humanize itself. I think that's a lot of why companies are starting blogs are just giving more insight into what's going on with them.
