A society that gets rid of all its troublemakers goes downhill.

Society honors its living conformists and its dead troublemakers.

Film-makers are always going to be interested in making movies that plug into society around them. That's what a vibrant artistically alert community should be doing. After all it would be sad if we only made films about alien robots.

One's own religion is after all a matter between oneself and one's Maker and no one else's.

This is the pain pacemaker. I've got a battery under my skin. From that battery are two electrodes that go into the spine where they cut bone away to accommodate it. Now I put on the power here. If I have the pain the stimulator starts. It's tingling like when your foot falls asleep you know?

I love being a wife and homemaker - because it's my choice. My husband doesn't expect me to do it. I don't mind doing things for him because he does so much for me we both feel that way so there is no power struggle.

Capitalism works better from every perspective when the economic decision makers are forced to share power with those who will be affected by those decisions.

I'm highly political. I spend an awful lot of time in the U.S. trying to influence decision-makers. But I don't feel in tune with British politics.

But poetry is a way of language it is not its subject or its maker's background or interests or hobbies or fixations. It is nearer to utterance than history.

My three Ps: passion patience perseverance. You have to do this if you've got to be a filmmaker.
