My mom's a concert pianist so she started teaching me when I was around seven. When I was eight I started writing my own songs and kinda started putting piano and singing together. But I'm trained classically which is a big influence on me I think.

Rehearsals and this band are two words that don't really go together kinda like Military Intelligence.

I've done a lot of albums and I kinda know when I'm onto something that was inspirational for me to record and create and this was one of those projects where I really enjoyed making the album.

A sold-out house my first night back. Do you have any idea what kinda pressure that is? I could have been at home in my warm bed playing Nintendo.

In school I was pretty quiet. Kinda shy until my junior year. But at home I was a freak.

I think essentially the meaning of life is probably the journey and not really any one thing or an outcome or a result. I think it's kinda the process and I think that if you can find happiness in the process then maybe that's it.

You know when something feels so good but you're afraid to feel good about it? So you kinda hold back? Everyone says Congratulations you must be so happy. And you say something stupid like I'm just doing what little I can with what little I have.

We kinda look at this as the second or third chapter of our lives. After college most people figure out what they want to do with their lives. But we already know what we want to do in the future and that is to continue to further our business goals.

We're trying to set up a movie for me in the near future. It's going to be similar to the story of how I got discovered. Kinda like my own version of '8 Mile.'

I'm a big fan of certain new acts. I love any genre of music and I think it's really great to see that there are new artists coming through. It's kinda funny to think that I'm like the old man on campus now. But I'm really happy for groups like One Direction. I think they're really good guys.
