There is more pleasure in loving than in being beloved.

Today for the first time in history a Bishop of Rome sets foot on English soil. This fair land once a distant outpost of the pagan world has become through the preaching of the Gospel a beloved and gifted portion of Christ's vineyard.

Peace plenty and contentment reign throughout our borders and our beloved country presents a sublime moral spectacle to the world.

For me however that beloved glowing little word happiness has become associated with everything I have felt since childhood upon hearing the sound of the word itself.

Just as a mother finds pleasure in taking her little child on her lap there to feed and caress him in like manner our loving God shows His fondness for His beloved souls who have given themselves entirely to Him and have placed all their hope in His goodness.

I am confident that when the facts and policies have been examined when the record of performances have been reviewed Barack Obama and Joe Biden will once again be elected to lead our beloved country to a better future.
