In the misfortunes of our best friends we always find something not altogether displeasing to us.

The best time for you to hold your tongue is the time you feel you must say something or bust.

I have found it advisable not to give too much heed to what people say when I am trying to accomplish something of consequence. Invariably they proclaim it can't be done. I deem that the very best time to make the effort.

These things bring you to reality as to how fragile you are at the same moment you are doing something that nobody else is able to do. The same moment that you are seen as the best the fastest and somebody that cannot be touched you are enormously fragile.

I don't know why it's the same reason why you like some music and you don't like others. There's something about it that you like. Ultimately I don't find it's in my best interests to try and analyze it since it's fundamentally emotional.

If you felt that excitement when you voted for Barack Obama shouldn't you feel that way now that he's President Obama? You know there's something wrong with the kind of job he's done as president when the best feeling you had was the day you voted for him.

Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.

In a completely rational society the best of us would be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something else.

One thing is sure. We have to do something. We have to do the best we know how at the moment... If it doesn't turn out right we can modify it as we go along.

Experience taught me a few things. One is to listen to your gut no matter how good something sounds on paper. The second is that you're generally better off sticking with what you know. And the third is that sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make.
