One man has enthusiasm for 30 minutes another for 30 days but it is the man who has it for 30 years who makes a success of his life.

Put paying your dues and all that puts so much into being a success. You have an understanding of what it's about being on your own for three or four years and living day to day on $3 or living in an apartment with no electricity.

Well I do feel that I carry the responsibility of representing my country wherever I am and this responsibility came with the success that I had in last couple of years not just myself but the whole group of tennis players that comes from Serbia. And athletes in general are in this moment the biggest ambassadors that our country has.

My college degree was in theater. But the real reason if I have any success in that milieu so to speak is because I spent a lot of years directing I spent a lot of years behind the camera.

Which is - you know like check it out I'm pretty young I'm only about 40 years old. I still have maybe another four decades of work left in me. And it's exceedingly likely that anything I write from this point forward is going to be judged by the world as the work that came after the freakish success of my last book right?

I think the idea that you know who your inner self is on a daily basis because... you know. What's good for you 25 years ago may not be good for you now. So to keep in touch with that I think that's the first ingredient for success. Because if you're a successful human being everything else is gravy I think.

Indeed I regard the enduring support which I have received over the years from all sections of the community in Ballymena as being more than sufficient recognition for any success which I may have achieved as an actor.

For a good 10 to 12 years I was working non-stop and I wasn't really enjoying my success.

How can they say my life is not a success? Have I not for more than sixty years got enough to eat and escaped being eaten?

Part of my strength as an actor comes from what I've learned all these years: when you play a villain you try to get the light touches when you play a hero you try to get in some of the warts.
