I praise the Lord here today. I know that all my talent and all my ability comes from him and without him I'm nothing and I thank him for his great blessing.

My goal is people associate November with COPD awareness month as much as they notice October with breast cancer and pink. That'd be a great thing if it happened. The fact that COPD kills more people than breast cancer and diabetes put together should raise some red flags.

Let us not listen to those who think we ought to be angry with our enemies and who believe this to be great and manly. Nothing is so praiseworthy nothing so clearly shows a great and noble soul as clemency and readiness to forgive.

Life is not an easy matter... You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery above weakness above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.

Some are made modest by great praise others insolent.

I hate big government but I really hate a government that doesn't work. So when 'they say we either have to raise taxes or cut core services ' it's actually a 'false choice.'

We are all used to paying a sales tax when we buy things - almost 9 percent here in New York City. The application of this concept to the financial sector could solve our need for revenue bring some sanity back into the financial sector and give us a way to raise the revenue we need to run the government in a fiscally responsible way.

Look I think the worst case scenario is obvious. I think first of all it doesn't work for very long. It's an unstable government that raises taxes and destroys the image we're building for Canada as a strong place to invest.

Taxes are like abortion and not just because both are grotesque procedures supported by Democrats. You're for them or against them. Taxes go up or down government raises taxes or lowers them. But Democrats will not let the words 'abortion' or 'tax hikes' pass their lips.

In Michigan a liberal democrat raised taxes and kept their government programs at the same level. And guess what? Their economy continued into the toilet it continued down.
