Our economic system run for profit and waste and based primarily on the extractive industries is the cause of climate change. We have wasted the earth's treasure and we can no longer exploit it cheaply.

Of course there is no question that Libya - and the world - will be better off with Gaddafi out of power. I along with many other world leaders have embraced that goal and will actively pursue it through non-military means. But broadening our military mission to include regime change would be a mistake.

The only thing I do on a computer is play Texas Hold 'Em really. Obviously my cell phone is a computer. My car is a computer. I'm on computers every day without actively seeking them out.

Web users ultimately want to get at data quickly and easily. They don't care as much about attractive sites and pretty design.

Democracy functions best when we have an active citizenry.

If being an attractive woman got you attention for directing then the entire 'best director' category would be comprised of models. To me that is just the most ludicrous connection that you could make.

Oh! this opponent this collaborator against your will whose notion of beauty always differs from yours and whose means are often too limited for active assistance to your intentions!

The concept of active cooperation has taken the place of opposition to the new form of government and of dreamy resignation entranced with the beauty of times past.

Beauty is that which is simultaneously attractive and sublime.
