My mother encouraged it so much. She was so supportive. Even if as a kid I would do the dumbest trick which now that I look back on some things she would love it she would say that's amazing or if I'd make the ugliest drawing she would hang it up. She was amazing.

I believed my story would be helpful to young women my daughter's age who are still in the process of forming themselves as women and in need of encouragement to remain true to themselves.

I would always encourage people of any age not to be so quick to follow other people's truths but to search and follow your own moral code and live by your own integrity and mostly just be brave.

My dad encouraged us to fail. Growing up he would ask us what we failed at that week. If we didn't have something he would be disappointed. It changed my mindset at an early age that failure is not the outcome failure is not trying. Don't be afraid to fail.
