Education has fundamentally changed my life. It's perhaps the mission of my life. I'm wed to it in a very powerful and personal way. And I chose the pathway that I believe could make me the most significant on changing the outcomes that we see now in North Carolina.

Being the lead of the show and working a lot of hours - all good stuff a tremendous education incredible opportunity it changed my life - it was a marathon and by the end of it I was pretty beat.

Then I was working in a store in Newark New Jersey and I saw an actor in person and I got so excited. My whole day changed. That's when I decided to challenge myself to make my dreams become a reality.

In my lifetime I've discovered a great many incredibly talented individuals. Some have achieved stardom. Simultaneously I've seen many dreams shattered egos destroyed and lives changed forever. The end destination may well be fame and fortune but the road to stardom is littered with broken hearts.

It never occurred to me that I'd be on a television show or in feature films but when those came into play my dreams changed along the way.

I have dreamed in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after and changed my ideas they have gone through and through me like wine through water and altered the color of my mind.

I don't find it a struggle to maintain a healthy diet now as my palate has changed. I don't crave rich food.

I need protein from food rather than just protein supplements. I changed my diet.

For so many years I felt so insecure so inferior and I still have those moments but I have a newfound confidence since I got in shape and changed my diet.

The industry's changed so much that you can't just design something put on a great show and say 'Okay my job is done.'
