I would love to continue in music with writing... but I am not the kind of person who will hang around if I start to become irrelevant. If that happens I will bow down gracefully raise my kids and have a garden. And I am going to let my hair go gray when I am older. I don't need to be blonde when I'm 60!
The absolute transformation of everything that we ever thought about music will take place within 10 years and nothing is going to be able to stop it. I see absolutely no point in pretending that it's not going to happen. I'm fully confident that copyright for instance will no longer exist in 10 years.
This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely more beautifully more devotedly than ever before.
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake since for him the spinal cord would suffice.
I kind of came to the conclusion after I did finally get married that love and relationships are just a series of horrific losses with hopefully one win.
I'd love to act more. I've had to turn down multiple movies because I was on tour but it's encouraging to know that someday there might be the right role the right timing. And I've been writing a lot of music so hopefully very soon I'll have recorded a project of my own. I also want to get a boat and open a restaurant.
The movies that are made more thoughtfully or made or with more ambition often get just get drowned out by the noise.
I just want to keep doing what I'm doing and hopefully people will watch my movies.
I'm proud of all the movies I've made. They're not sequels they're not franchises. And the reason I pick my films carefully is that I don't want to spit on my life. I like to think of myself as more than that.
What I like to do is just make good music good movies hopefully perform a good show full of energy and just have some fun.
