Big Star invented a vision of bohemian rock & roll cool that had nothing to do with New York Los Angeles or London which made them completely out of style in the 1970s but also made them an inspiration to generations of weird Southern kids.

It's hard to encapsulate my inspiration because there are so many different looks but I think it's just like sexy girl you see walking down the street in a cool outfit. A lot of eyelet a lot of leather playing with the hard and the soft the good and bad inside of us all.

My approach is so simple every song I sing every story I tell every move I make must move the audience to laughter tears or inspiration. Otherwise why do it? It's the communication.

Civilization grew in the beginning from the minute that we had communication - particularly communication by sea that enabled people to get inspiration and ideas from each other and to exchange basic raw materials.
