I think we will always have the impulse towards visual poetry with us and I wouldn't agree with Bly that it's a bad thing. It depends on the ability of the individual poet to do it well and to make a shape which is interesting enough to hold your attention.

Poetry always runs away from you - it's very difficult to grasp it and every time you read it depending on your conditions you will have a different grasp of it. Whereas with a novel once you have read it you have grasped it.

Art works because it appeals to certain faculties of the mind. Music depends on details of the auditory system painting and sculpture on the visual system. Poetry and literature depend on language.

That is to say epic poetry has been invented many times and independently but as the needs which prompted the invention have been broadly similar so the invention itself has been.

But since independence Gabon is one of the few countries in Central Africa that enjoys peace and stability.

Standing as I believe the United States stands for humanity and civilization we should exercise every influence of our great country to put a stop to that war which is now raging in Cuba and give to that island once more peace liberty and independence.

If there will be a serious Palestinian prime minister who makes a 100 percent effort to end terrorism then we can have peace. Each side has to take steps. If terror continues there will not be an independent Palestinian state. Israel will not accept it if terror continues.

I find peace anywhere I go. It depends on what is within the walls of my own home.

Without free self-respecting and autonomous citizens there can be no free and independent nations. Without internal peace that is peace among citizens and between the citizens and the state there can be no guarantee of external peace.

We travel together passengers on a little spaceship dependent on it's vulnerable reserves of air and soil all committed for our safety to it's security and peace. Preserved from annihilation only by the care the work and the love we give our fragile craft.
