I decided to study special education and fell in love with working with individuals with autism. That's what I planned to do with my life.

The Founding Fathers in their wisdom decided that children were an unnatural strain on parents. So they provided jails called schools equipped with tortures called an education.

Then I was working in a store in Newark New Jersey and I saw an actor in person and I got so excited. My whole day changed. That's when I decided to challenge myself to make my dreams become a reality.

I don't diet I don't do fads I've just decided to not eat carbs. So no more bread and pasta for the month. I can't live without chocolate though. I've always got a bar in my handbag. It has to be 72%. Any less and it's too sweet any more and it's inedible. Like I said I'm very particular.

I weighed 193 pounds and had three chins. I couldn't get up before 9 a.m. and never saw patients before 10. I decided to go on a diet.

I decided to go to school for advertising and graphic design. That was what I was gonna do but acting is that thing it's like a splinter in your mind and you can't get rid of it. So I decided to move to L.A. a few years ago and it just snowballed into this thing called 'The Hunger Games.'

While I was at college studying design I decided to paint. I was also greatly inspired by the colours that I had seen on my travels in the Brazilian Rain forest.

I was a cartoonist when I was at university but I decided to go into movie making knowing that I could still draw by doing movies design work story boards and such.

I decided to devote my life to telling the story because I felt that having survived I owe something to the dead. and anyone who does not remember betrays them again.

After a number of years dating we decided we were good partners.
