My personal feeling if I can interject a political note is that I don't think it is right that basic health care is a privilege. It shouldn't be. It should be a right of all human beings. And certainly in the richest country in the world.

I mean the fight for a health care bill to cover all Americans and leave none behind is attacked as being a race appeal which is not true but then it's put out in the media as true.

For the sake of our health our children and grandchildren and even our economic well-being we must make protecting the planet our top priority.

As musicians and artists it's important we have an environment - and I guess when I say environment I really mean the industry that really nurtures these gifts. Oftentimes the machine can overlook the need to take care of the people who produce the sounds that have a lot to do with the health and well-being of society.

If I were a capitalist I would not give my employees health insurance with no deductible which I do including dental and paid pregnancy leave. That's not called capitalism that's called being a Christian and someone who believes in democracy so that everyone should get a fair slice of the pie.

Mental health is often missing from public health debates even though it's critical to wellbeing.

As long as man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals they will kill each other.

All the evidence that we have indicates that it is reasonable to assume in practically every human being and certainly in almost every newborn baby that there is an active will toward health an impulse towards growth or towards the actualization.

All mankind... being all equal and independent no one ought to harm another in his life health liberty or possessions.

Health is the greatest possession. Contentment is the greatest treasure. Confidence is the greatest friend. Non-being is the greatest joy.
