People in Slow Food understand that food is an environmental issue.

Not all is doom and gloom. We are beginning to understand the natural world and are gaining a reverence for life - all life.

Where the private sector or anyone else has skills knowledge and resources that can help to deliver a high quality of education and to raise standards we should use them.

Of course the EU and member states must work to ensure that people moving from one country to another understand their obligations and their rights in areas like health road safety and further education.

What the mayors care about is 'How can I get money to invest in the infrastructure in my city? How do we put people back to work lower the unemployment rate provide for job training programs? How do we make class sizes smaller and make investments in our children from an education standpoint?'

And I thought that was the best way for me to participate because standing in the crowd and listening is a fantastic education but it's not my nature. I need to be involved. So I did that instead.

We had great faith that with patience understanding and education that my family and I could be helpful in changing their minds and attitudes around.

Education is the silver bullet to improve this Nation's standing worldwide... and our teachers know that.
