As a teacher you can see the difference in kids who have parents who were involved. That difference by the time these kids get to the third grade is drastic.

I thought well of course Kinsey absolutely adored teaching. He was a wonderful teacher. So these kids really inspired me. So that was a clue I hung onto. He loved young people he absolutely loved them. And he loved teaching them and trying to help them.

But what you could perhaps do with in these days is a word of most sincere sympathy. Your movement is carried internally by so strong a truth and necessity that victory in one form or another cannot elude you for long.

I have sympathy for young people for their growing pains but I balk when these growing pains are pushed into the foreground when you make these young people the only vehicles of life's wisdom.

I was successful materially but I know life is much more than worldly success. I saw all these blessings God had given me. The way to give thanks is obedience to God.

All these people who say success changes people well no it just magnifies what's there.

I'd rather a young black actor read about success as opposed to how tough it was. I get these roles because I can act and that's it. Hopefully that's it.

We moved into the back made it into a little 50s sitting room and started to sell the records. We had an immediate success. For one thing these Teddy Boys were thrilled to buy the records.

I wish I could just go tell all the young women I work with all these fabulous women 'Believe in yourself and negotiate for yourself. Own your own success.' I wish I could tell that to my daughter. But it's not that simple.
