I started practicing yoga. I started learning some hands-on healing stuff. And I found really good chiropractors really good massage therapists and what I found is I've been able to actually peel off layers of trauma on my body and actually move better now than I did.

I want to see a player on the football field. I want to see what kind of teammate they are what kind of leadership qualities they have. I want to see how aggressive they are how much fun they have playing the game.

The biggest difference is in the leadership. It was better for us. We had more coaches and mentors to help us. A lot of the younger players today suffer from a lack of direction.

Leadership is getting players to believe in you. If you tell a teammate you're ready to play as tough as you're able to you'd better go out there and do it. Players will see right through a phony. And they can tell when you're not giving it all you've got.

Leadership is diving for a loose ball getting the crowd involved getting other players involved. It's being able to take it as well as dish it out. That's the only way you're going to get respect from the players.

Golf is about knowledge and studying another player - more than listening to a teacher - is the best way to get it.

I love sharing my knowledge of hitting with others. Now coaches and players at all levels can learn my systematic approach to hitting a baseball with more consistency mental strength and accuracy.

If you're a singer you lose your voice. A baseball player loses his arm. A writer gets more knowledge and if he's good the older he gets the better he writes.

That's how easy baseball was for me. I'm not trying to brag or anything but I had the knowledge before I became a professional baseball player to do all these things and know what each guy would hit.

I noticed a lot of guitar players neglected the rhythm part of rhythm guitar and decided I would try to focus in that. As my skill and knowledge of the instrument grew I found lead started to come naturally. Sometimes I play guitar like a frustrated drummer. Ha ha!
