I don't believe in an afterlife so I don't have to spend my whole life fearing hell or fearing heaven even more. For whatever the tortures of hell I think the boredom of heaven would be even worse.
I remember a specific moment watching my grandmother hang the clothes on the line and her saying to me 'you are going to have to learn to do this ' and me being in that space of awareness and knowing that my life would not be the same as my grandmother's life.
I have been up against tough competition all my life. I wouldn't know how to get along without it.
As a remedy to life in society I would suggest the big city. Nowadays it is the only desert within our means.
I actually thought that it would be a little confusing during the same period of your life to be in one meeting when you're trying to make money and then go to another meeting where you're giving it away. I mean is it gonna erode your ability you know to make money? Are you gonna somehow get confused about what you're trying to do?
What if you gave someone a gift and they neglected to thank you for it - would you be likely to give them another? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer you must truly appreciate what you already have.
Life would be tolerable but for its amusements.
I'm not an example for how people should live their lives. Never in my life would I ever set out to be an example for people on how to live their lives. If you need an example for how to live then you just shouldn't have been born. Straight up.
I would say my greatest achievement in life right now - my greatest achievement period is - and I'm still trying to achieve it - is to be a wonderful father to my kids.
