Julie Mia and I just met for a couple days doing some work but really under the guise of having fun. We do events like the Women's Sports Foundation Dinner where we get to not only do a good thing for the community but we get to hang out with one another again.

Denver is home to me and to be recognized for my achievements in the sports community here is a great honor.

Winning isn't everything but playing and competing and striving and going through things can be a lot of fun and really important. As long as you're doing it in a way that's healthy sports can be an incredible opportunity.

We're going to have more kids playing and we're going to have a better chance of finding those players Minor sports in a community is for fun and recreation. For everyone.

We live in a world where sports have the potential to bridge the gap between racism sexism and discrimination. The 2012 Olympic Games was a great start but hopefully what these games taught us is that if women are given an opportunity on an equal playing field the possibilities for women are endless.

There's a whole lot more to the African-American community than entertainment and sports.

Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.

Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play.

You shouldn't get to live in society and give nothing back. People complain about their taxes yet they do nothing for the community. That makes me furious.

I think that when we have a better educated society when there is less violence in our cities when people get back into the workforce and have the opportunity to take care of themselves and their families - that for me really is the kind of success and the kind of America that I think most of us still want we aspire to.
