Don't ever ever believe anyone who tells you that you can just get by by doing the easiest thing possible. Because there's always somebody behind you who really wants to do what you're doing. And they're going to work harder than you if you're not working hard.

People don't understand that when I grew up I was never the most talented. I was never the biggest. I was never the fastest. I certainly was never the strongest. The only thing I had was my work ethic and that's been what has gotten me this far.

So did I work with Warhol? I worked with him less on that play then I did on other things. He actually did a portrait of my rabbit and some other stuff. Warhol was definitely... Warhol.

I think I should be active politically. Because I look upon myself as a politician. That's not a dirty work you know. Some people think that there are something wrong with politicians. Of course something wrong with some politicians.

It ain't easy to break out of a mold but if you do your work people will ultimately see what you're capable of. Too often people find it easier to make assumptions and stick with what they believe. They put you in a place and it makes their job easier. The good people constantly search for something different.

But I work harder now because I have so much more exposure. And actually the harder you work as a writer the better you get at it. It's like anything else. It's a muscle you have to exercise. I write more now than ever.

The last thing one discovers in composing a work is what to put first.

I suppose I have a really loose interpretation of 'work ' because I think that just being alive is so much work at something you don't always want to do. The machinery is always going. Even when you sleep.

I work really hard at trying to see the big picture and not getting stuck in ego. I believe we're all put on this planet for a purpose and we all have a different purpose... When you connect with that love and that compassion that's when everything unfolds.

Your expectations opens or closes the doors of your supply If you expect grand things and work honestly for them they will come to you your supply will correspond with your expectation.
