Mr. President prime ministers let us have ambitions: ambitions to move beyond the violence and occupation to the day when two states Palestine and Israel can live together side by side in peace and security.

We travel together passengers on a little spaceship dependent on it's vulnerable reserves of air and soil all committed for our safety to it's security and peace. Preserved from annihilation only by the care the work and the love we give our fragile craft.

The purposes of the United States should not be doubted. The Security Council resolutions will be enforced - the just demands of peace and security will be met - or action will be unavoidable. And a regime that has lost its legitimacy will also lose its power.

Resentment seems to have been given us by nature for a defense and for a defense only! It is the safeguard of justice and the security of innocence.

I find it strange the way human nature wants heroes and yet wants to destroy their heroes. It's a kind of mass insecurity people want something to look up to and get a buzz off but at the same time want to destroy it because it makes them feel insecure.

When we think of the major threats to our national security the first to come to mind are nuclear proliferation rogue states and global terrorism. But another kind of threat lurks beyond our shores one from nature not humans - an avian flu pandemic.

It stands to the everlasting credit of science that by acting on the human mind it has overcome man's insecurity before himself and before nature.

If it were the Clinton people they'd be sitting around figuring out how to pull themselves out. Instead the president is continuing to go around the country and peddling Social Security which the needle is not moving on.

Man maintains his balance poise and sense of security only as he is moving forward.

When I get the morning report on security I call those battalions in the regions where there are problems.
