I write about wounds the eternal treasons of life. It's not very funny but it's sincere. My commitment is to sincerity.

I don't believe that anybody has come to a conclusion on why something is funny. It's funny because it's ridiculous and it's ridiculous for different reasons at different times.

Funny things happen to you in movies for silly reasons.

Ray Bradbury is for many reasons the most influential writer in my life. Throughout our long friendship Ray supplied not only his terrific stories but a grand model of what a writer could be should be and yet rarely is: brilliant and charming and accessible willing to tolerate and to teach happy to inspire but also to be inspired.

Food is meant to be used as fuel for our bodies. If you're using it for any other reasons take a step back and ask yourself 'What's up.'

Men do not have to cook their food they do so for symbolic reasons to show they are men and not beasts.

I think we have lost our groove as a country. One of the reasons was the attack on 9/11. We got knocked off our game. From a country that always exported hope we went into the business of exporting fear.

OK so I'm not famous for the right reasons.

Its only when you are a great actor and are recognised for your good work that you become famous. Unless you are in the news for the wrong reasons!

There is no fulfillment in things whatsoever. And I think one of the reasons that depression reigns supreme amongst the rich and famous is some of them thought that maybe those things would bring them happiness. But what in fact does is having a cause having a passion. And that's really what gives life's true meaning.
