Every time I do a movie like 'Finding Neverland' or 'Chocolat' or 'Shakespeare' in Love ' we deal with the creative process but there's humor and fun along the way. I always love that kind of movie.

I think people are sexy when they have a sense of humor when they are smart when they have some sense of style when they are kind when they express their own opinions when they are creative when they have character.

More people have more access to more readers for less money than ever before in history. It means a lot of dross but it means a lot of very talented people can find and nurture a readership in ways that were not possible twenty years ago. From a creative perspective that is all that writing is about.

Through all of history mankind has ingested psychedelic substances. Those substances exist to put you in touch with spirits beyond yourself with the creator with the creative impulse of the planet.

I believe there is a relationship between having an interest in the arts and the behaviour of society as a whole. Some politicians find it difficult that the arts is a weapon of happiness... Politics is often about deprivation rather than the opening up of ideas and nourishing creative endeavour.

To have the sense of creative activity is the great happiness and the great proof of being alive.

Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort.
