Most Evangelicals claim to be politically non-partisan and say they only identify with the Republican Party because the Republicans are committed to 'family values.'

Santa Barbara is my hood. I mean it's not much of a hood but it is definitely like my hood. I claim Santa Barbara like I claim my family. I'm going to be married and buried there.

And if it's not the essence then we've been sold a pack of lies. The essence is everyone deserves a shot - the content of character not the color of skin.
