Religious institutions should have religious freedom on this issue. No church or minister should ever have to conduct a marriage that is inconsistent with their religious beliefs. But I think as a civil institution this issue's time has come and we need to move forward.

I thought the divorce statistics would never apply to me. I was beyond heartbroken when they did. But I got up and got on with it. I also kept my belief in marriage.

One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief that is a fate more terrible than dying.

Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.

I played saxophone so I was into jazz. I learned from each audience and each teacher that I had. I can't really tell you any rules or anything but the way I develop my beliefs is really just by personally learning from different situations.

Well football teams are perhaps easier to control than political parties I'm sure the Prime Minister would agree with me but yeah I think every team needs discipline and a sense of self-belief and that's important that's what leadership's all about.

Belief and knowledge are considered to be two different things. But they are not.

These past years as we have been recovering and given our city a rebirth we have been encouraged by our faith knowledge and steadfast belief that we will pull through. There will be challenges and setbacks as there have already been but we will continue and we the citizens of New Orleans will prevail in bringing our city back.
