Men reach their sexual peak at eighteen. Women reach theirs at thirty-five. Do you get the feeling that God is playing a practical joke?

The faces of most American women over thirty are relief maps of petulant and bewildered unhappiness.

At sixty I know little more about wisdom than I did at thirty but I know a great deal more about folly.
