I am very excited to accept the role of Honorary Patron with Hope Air because of the national scope of the organization and the very real impact they have on Canadians who need to travel to healthcare.

Besides the healthcare bill being unconstitutional and a great expansion of federal government I think if it does not respect people's individual religious views and makes groups or individuals do things that are contrary to their deeply held beliefs there is going to be a visceral negative reaction.

Lawsuit abuse is a major contributor to the increased costs of healthcare goods and services to consumers.

Many of us believe that we need health care reform. That being said - Americans felt like they weren't being listened to. There were a lot of people across the political spectrum who said we don't want a one-size-fits-all healthcare plan.

We must ensure that every worker has healthcare and is able to save for their retirement. We must ensure that our workers have safe and health working conditions.

Today diabetes is now epidemic according to the Centers for Disease Control the National Institutes of Health the American Diabetes Association and other national healthcare leaders.

Most illegals are without health insurance and when these workers need emergency healthcare the American taxpayer gets stuck with the bill.

In the past week it has become clear that the vote on the final healthcare bill will be very close. I take this vote with the utmost seriousness. I am quite aware of the historic fight that has lasted the better part of the last century to bring America in line with other modern democracies in providing single payer health care.

I am interested in getting people to use the healthcare system at the right time getting them to see the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious.

I don't think healthcare's a right. The only right you have is the ability to go out on an even playing field and work and then purchase health insurance or whatever it is.
