Women are the real architects of society.

Currently I am overseeing the construction of the new Trump Tower in Chicago. I am involved in meeting with the construction crews architects and sales teams. I am learning a lot and working with some of the best in the business.

May I say finally that I have no illusions of grandeur quite to the contrary I am very humble in my knowledge that through forty years of my life my life has been an open book of service to my fellow architects and for the public good.

I hope that America as a whole and especially its architects will become more seriously involved in producing a new architectural culture that would bring the nation to the apex - where it has stood before - and lead the world.

Let architects sing of aesthetics that bring Rich clients in hordes to their knees Just give me a home in a great circle dome Where stresses and strains are at ease.

We are called to be architects of the future not its victims.

All architects want to live beyond their deaths.

Artists to my mind are the real architects of change and not the political legislators who implement change after the fact.

When museums are built these days architects directors and trustees seem most concerned about social space: places to have parties eat dinner wine-and-dine donors. Sure these are important these days - museums have to bring in money - but they gobble up space and push the art itself far away from the entrance.

There will never be great architects or great architecture without great patrons.
