We talk of our mastery of nature which sounds very grand but the fact is we respectfully adapt ourselves first to her ways.

I remember being at school during morning meeting and looking around at everybody 350 kids saying a prayer. We're all very young and no one knows what it means and I remember feeling strange that people were just repeating words that they didn't understand. I refused to participate. For some reason I always rejected it but respectfully.

My mother taught me to treat a lady respectfully.

We are all representatives of the American people. We all do town hall meetings. We all talk to our constituents. And I've got to tell you the American people are engaged. And if you think they want a government takeover of health care I would respectfully submit you're not listening to them.

I owe my success to having listened respectfully to the very best advice and then going away and doing the exact opposite.
