Thousands of years and many civilizations have defined a marriage as the union between one man and one woman. With few exceptions those civilizations that did not follow that perished.

If God listened to the prayers of men all men would quickly have perished: for they are forever praying for evil against one another.

To harmonize the One with the Many this is indeed a difficult adjustment perhaps the most difficult of all and so important withal that nations have perished from their failure to achieve it.

For as long as this nation has known war we have embraced the heroes it has produced. Americans have rightfully noted the honor and nobility of courage under hostile fire and thanked those who perished in their defense.
