I grabbed my mom and I went to the couch and I said 'Mom I want to ask Jesus to come into my heart.' And I got on my knee and I asked Jesus to come into my heart forgive me of my sins and make me a child of God.
We have not invaded anyone. We have not conquered anyone. We have not grabbed their land their culture their history and tried to enforce our way of life on them.
Our nation is too different too diverse to say that what works in Massachusetts is somehow going to be grabbed by the federal government usurping the power of states and imposing a one-size-fits-all plan on the nation. That will not work.
A couple of months ago I was down in Florida for the Food and Wine Festival. And this journalist grabbed me and said 'How does it feel to be a TV guy? You're no longer in the restaurant business.' And I laughed. I asked him 'How long do you think it takes me to do a season?' He said 'Well 200 days.' And I was like '200 days? Try 20!'
In general I was a good kid. It usually took a lot to make me mad. But once I reached the boiling point I lost all rational control. Totally without thinking when my anger was aroused I grabbed the nearest brick rock or stick to bash someone. It was as if I had no conscious will in the matter.
