The number of stressors has multiplied exponentially: traffic money success work/life balance the economy the environment parenting family conflict relationships disease. As the nature of human life has become far more complicated our ancient stress response hasn't been able to keep up.

The one thing I have learned as a CEO is that leadership at various levels is vastly different. When I was leading a function or a business there were certain demands and requirements to be a leader. As you move up the organization the requirements for leading that organization don't grow vertically they grow exponentially.

When bureaucrats talk about increasing our 'access' to x y or z what they're really talking about is increasing exponentially their control over our lives. As it is with the government health care takeover so it is with the newly approved government plan to 'increase' Internet 'access.'
