When I got into the film business my aim was to adopt a positive persona of a guy who fights against injustice. And it saved me because my acting was atrocious to say the least!

We have been blessed with a healthy growing economy with more Americans going back to work and with our Nation acting as a positive force for good in the world.

I'm getting positive feedback for my acting so we'll see if any other interesting parts come up.

Once you start saying 'Let's talk political my own politics my own aspirations ' it can become not just distracting in that it takes time but it can become confusing and frustrating and is this now a political agenda or a governmental agenda.

I used to joke that if acting didn't work out poetry was my commonsense fallback.

A lot of people think 'I'll give acting or poetry or filmmaking a try. And if it doesn't work out I'll go get a law degree do something else that's more practical.' For me I went the reverse way. I lived the back-up plan.

Stylized acting and direction is to realistic acting and direction as poetry is to prose.

Success is not assured but America is resolute: this is the best chance for peace we are likely to see for some years to come - and we are acting to help Israelis and Palestinians seize this chance.
