The best of us must sometimes eat our words.

Confrontation is not a dirty word. Sometimes it's the best kind of journalism as long you don't confront people just for the sake of a confrontation.

Sometimes you get the best light from a burning bridge.

Sometimes you feel awkward being what you're best at you feel like you have to be something new.

Being a blockhead is sometimes the best security against being cheated by a man of wit.

Sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make.

Take those chances and you can achieve greatness whereas if you go conservative you'll never know. I truly believe what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Even if you fail learning and moving on is sometimes the best thing.

And while the law of competition may be sometimes hard for the individual it is best for the race because it ensures the survival of the fittest in every department.

For a long time now I have tried simply to write the best I can. Sometimes I have good luck and write better than I can.

Experience taught me a few things. One is to listen to your gut no matter how good something sounds on paper. The second is that you're generally better off sticking with what you know. And the third is that sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make.
