If I were given a choice between two films and one was dark and explored depraved troubled or sick aspects of our culture I would always opt for that over the next romantic comedy.

Stand-up is like a row boat: it's fun and romantic when you're choosing to do it. But if you have no other choice than to be in a row boat it's not as enjoyable that's survival.

We need to respect choices that women make.

Facts matter. Science matters. Reason matters. Mitt Romney has shown an inability to respect any of the three. President Barack Obama not only respects them he relies on them. He is an overwhelming and unquestioned choice to continue as president.

I shoot people in a way that makes the audience feel equal to them. And it's hard to express and it's hard to execute but I think it works on every level - the choice of the material the choice of the actor my relationship with the actor and so on.

While I don't often use the word the technically precise term for my orientation is bisexual. I believe bisexuality is not a choice it is a fact. What I have 'chosen' is to be in a gay relationship.

I say to the Taliban: surrender the terrorists or surrender power. It's your choice.
