It's very much like opera singers. They do the same thing. The first thing in the morning and the last thing at night the thing they think about is their voice and how to take care of it.
War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.
